Under Age Weekly Update October 9th 2015

Hello folks,

Hope you all enjoyed our Open Day last Sunday – we had record crowds and there certainly was a great atmosphere around the club on Sunday. Special word of thanks to all who helped our – all our Coaches & Managers, our chefs, Frank Corr & Jimmy Marks; Gwen, Fiona, Anne Marie, Denise, Mike C, Seamus Mac, Paul, Tony and Ken.

On the playing fields, there were convincing victories for our Under 18’s and Under 14 in their respective leagues, with our Under 12, 9 and 8’s all performing admirably.

Great night at the club last night with our Under 18’s taking on a very strong representative side from South Africa. Really proud of our lads who did the club proud, and fronted up to the mighty men from the Veldt! Mighty session afterwards – with new friendships formed and plans for future trips were discussed over a few beers!

Club Registrations – could we please ask all coaches/managers to follow up for any outstanding club registrations – deadline was Sunday 4th October. Please collect all registration forms and fees and hand in to club shop or give to a committee member as soon as possible

IRFU/ Club Raffle – As advised at previous meetings, we will not be holding our Under Age raffle to coincide with our Open Day, but will instead focus our energies on the IFRU Monster draw. All funds collected will remain within the club, and as this will be one of our main fund raising activities, we would urge you to give this fund raiser your full support. Tickets are priced at €10.00 each, with real quality prizes, including trips to South Africa.

2016 Young Munster Youth Section Calendar – weather permitting, we will be taking group and action photos this Sunday for our calendar, which should be going to press shortly. If any individual or a company would be willing to sponsor a page of the calendar, please contact Anne Marie at the shop.

Benefit night - Jack & Sarah Corbett - In conjunction with the friends of David and Tracey Lynch, we will be assisting with a couple of fundraising events over the next few weeks, starting with a “Benefit Night” at our clubhouse on Friday 16th October. We will have live music on the night, with loads of spot prizes to be won. We are seeking spot prizes from yourselves – if you are in a position to obtain same for us, please contact Ciaran O’Callaghan at 086 8154495.

We would hope that each age grade will support us by taking two tables at the quiz.

We very much look forward to a huge turn out at our club on the 16th to support this most worthy of causes. David and Tracey Lynch have been huge supporters of our club and have provided invaluable assistance in particular to our Youth Section in recent years, and now it’s our turn to help them in their hour of need.

Thank you for consideration of our efforts, and we hope you can support us.

Come on, Ireland!!!
