Once again we are running our annual fundraising race-night on 28th September 2024. This fundraiser is been run in partnership with our Charity Partner St Gabriel’s Foundation and our Club Young Munster RFC both important organisations in our community here in Limerick.
The whole ethos of St. Gabriel’s is to improve the lives of people living with disabilities, helping them to reach their full potential and support their families at the same time. St. Gabriel’s meets these needs through the provision of clinical therapies (speech and language, physiotherapy, occupational therapy), education (special school), respite, orthotics and hydrotherapy. We look after 2 of the 7 Children’s Disability Network Teams in the Mid-West region and close to 40,000 people avail of our services every year. The latest addition to the service has been a Children’s Respite House in Mungret Co. Limerick. This six-bedroomed facility provides overnight stays for children with complex medical needs that require a nurse-led respite service. Families feel secure leaving their children overnight in the confidence that all their care needs are met. A recent survey of families emphasised that this has been a life-line for the entire family. While St. Gabriel’s does receive some funding from the HSE, it is simply not enough. That is why support from people like you is vital to the running of the service.
The cost of the horses is as follows:
- 1 Horse €25
- 3 Horses €60
- 5 Horses €100
Please provide the name of your horse or horses; otherwise, we will be happy to choose a name for you. All winning horses will be entered into the Grand Prize Draw which will take place at half time during the match against Ballinahinch RFC on the October 19th, 2024.
